Roseto Degli Abruzzi is situated along the Adriatic coast, ca. 30 km north of Pescara. Roseto degli Abruzzi received its first Blue Flag in 1999 for its beautiful beach and clean sea. Children can swim safely here as the shore is shallow for several metres.
This is a typical resort, which has 10 km of sandy beach and boasts a lively summer atmosphere. The city has 20,000 inhabitants and the restaurants and shops are open throughout the year.
The centre was developed in the 19th Century around the station but in more recent decades, many buildings have sprung up especially along the beach. There is now also a long wide promenade with a bike path and beautiful play areas.
