Tortoreto Lido is a beach area about 3 km from the historic centre of Tortoreto. The lido is in the town itself and there are several restaurants and cafes nearby. There is also a train station in Tortoreto Lido.
Tortoreto Lido is part of Corridoio Verde Adriatico (Adriatic green axis) or Via Adriatico, which is a wide cycle path which is around 1000 km running from Ravenna in Emilia Romagna to Santa Maria di Leuca in Apulia, and thus throughout the 5 regions: Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Abruzzo, Molise and Apulia.
For interesting things to do in Tortoreto Lido, there is the museum Museo della Cultura Marinara (Maritime Museum), where among other things you can see different types of tools that have been used for fishing throughout the years. In Tortoreto city you can see frescoes of Jesus's life in the church of Santa Maria della Misericordia (from 1348) that were painted in 1526 by Giacomo Bonfini and his students.
