The small town of Casal Velino is about. 2 km from the sandy beaches on the coast of Marina di Casal Velino, where you also find a small harbour (marina) and a pleasant promenade. The town is beautifully situated in picturesque and green surroundings.
The area is still untouched by mass tourism and therefore appears authentic, unspoilt and different. From here you can easily reach the Island of Capri by boat during the summer. The area has something to offer everyone, from history to nature, culture and great swimming. The area is known for its white figs, goat, sheep and cattle breeding. It's an excellent starting point for those that like cycling or hiking as the territory around beckons to be explored. We would advise that you have your own car, or hire a car to fully appreciate this region. The nearest train stations are in Ascea and Vallo della Lucania - Catelnuovo.
