Minihotel Iris can be best perceived as a small guesthouse or B&B tucked away in the quiet outskirts of Maori. It takes a 20 minute walk to the town center and sea from Minihotel Iris. It is perfect for people that don’t like to stay in the middle of the crowd and came to the Amalfi coast to explore the area.
The pretty town of Maiori is nestled in the sun-drenched Amalfi coast. It offers quite a nice center, with a boulevard and lively streets. Maori tends to get pretty vibrant in season and offers plenty of cafés, restaurants, shops and fabulous churches. It offers the longest beach in the Amalfi coast with nearly a kilometer in length with sunbeds, umbrellas and beach bars. Watersports that can be practiced here are snorkeling, sailing and surfing.
If you like walking or like to be active, an easy 30-minute walk up the surrounding hillside brings you to the Castle of San Nicola de Thoro Plano, a 9th-century fortification with views stretching along the mountainous coast to Ravello. Amalfi, Positano and Ravello are the big 3 UNESCO towns on the Amalfi coast. Capri, Ischia and Sorrento are not too far away, and easy to visit for the day. Capri can be even visited from Maiori by a 2 hour boat ride.
Although Minihotel Iris is a no frills hotel, however for the onese that are looking for decent comfortable stays witouth too much expectations it suites very well. Minihotel Iris offers good value for money within the Amalfi coast. Breakfast in the morning offers a rich selection of products and can be enjoyed on the common terrace. There is also a large solarium available for a relax session to read a book or enjoy a drink. If you decide to come here by car, no problem as there is plenty of parking space around. WiFi is offerend throughout the whole guesthouse at a fee.
Minihotel Iris is housed in a modern building and features in total only six bedrooms. All of them have different colours and are named after flowers. All rooms have air conditioner, TV, writing desk, minibar and bathroom with shower and hairdryer.
