Anacapri is the second largest town on the island of
Capri. It is a quiet coastal town with pleasant small streets and enchanting squares.
There is a chair lift to the Solaro mountain (589 m), the highest peak on the island. The trip takes about 10 minutes. The chair lift and cable car are the best forms of transport if you want to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
In Anacapri it is well worth considering a visit to Villa San Michele built by Axel Munthe and the churches Santa Sofia and Santa Maria di Costantinopoli.
