The city is also known for the theme park "Italia in Miniatura", which is an amusement park where you can get to tour the entire boot-shaped peninsula. Guests may also be lucky enough to experience the annual competition of sand sculptures that take place on the beach in Viserba.
If you are interested in food and markets, you should visit the great market hall in the historic centre of Rimini, where especially fresh fish is sold to the locals and the few tourists who find it. This area of Rimini offers multiple monuments from various historical periods, with an emphasis on the Roman era. It is also where you should go for shopping and where you can find a great selection of delicious stores selling local produce, to branded clothing products for the more 'cost-conscious'.
For a break you can head to the very beautiful place Piazza Tre Martiri and enjoy a well-deserved lunch or a cool glass! From Viserba it is about 5 km away. Of course you can choose to drive there by car, but you can also take the train - which only takes 6 minutes - and then walk the last mile from Rimini station! Buses also run constantly along the seafront in Rimini during high season.
