If you want to swim in the Piedmont region you can do so in the rivers or lakes.
But if this doesn't appeal, and if you are in the southern part of Piedmont, you can easily drive to the neighbouring region of Liguria and take a dip in the inviting Mediterranean.
Hotel Flora is 200 m from Lake Maggiore and 800 m from the centre of Stresa and 1,5 km from the little habour . The boats sailing to the Borromeo islands are only a short distance away, and the funicular up the Mottarone mountain is not far away either.
But it is all true. However, many would no doubt find it difficult to believe the price: Here it still is possible to live well for a reasonable price.
The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, and the style is thoroughly homely in the best meaning of the word.
