In the triangle between the towns of Alba, Asti and Acqui Terme you find the small Collina San Michele vineyard a few hundred meters outside the small town of Vinchio.
![]() ![]() The area is little known by European tourists, including the Italians themselves. Consequently the Asti province is surprisingly unspoiled. Here you find high quality food and wine, genuine kindness ...and hospitality, magnificent natural beauty and surprisingly low prices. Admittedly half-board costs more here than in the usual tourist hotels, but it is well worth the money. Read more about Collina San Michele
![]() ![]() The Collina San Michele farm is perched on a hilltop 350 m above sea level and the views from its terrace are fabulous. On clear days you can see up to 30 km across the surrounding hills and valleys with their countless vineyards and many small towns. Eating on the covered terrace whilst taking in all this beauty makes the trip worthwhile. The views are the same from the 7 x 13 m swimming pool. ![]() ![]() The farm has 11 bedrooms, six of which are in the main building and the rest are in a new building a few meters away. Four bedrooms with en suite bathroom in the main building are on the first floor. They are spacious and attractively furnished either with old furniture or with old-style new pieces. All four bedrooms have air conditioning and balcony. The two bedrooms in the main building which share a bathroom in the corridor are somewhat smaller and have no TV, air conditioning or balcony. Please note that the extra beds that can be provided are not of the best quality and are therefore best suited for children. In the new building all the bedrooms have air conditioning and some of them also have terrace or balcony. ![]()
![]() It is possible to eat in the farm restaurant without booking half-board, but it is considerably more expensive.
