The square that this and the rest of the San Gregorio apartments surround has a bar and restaurant and is a great communal meeting centre for fishermen and tourists alike. The apartments are small and over furnished for their size, but with that said it may not be noticed because of the atmosphere of the square and the lapping sea beckoning at the door step.
Behind the houses the railway line runs from Palermo to Messina so you have to expect a certain amount of noise the few times a day when a train passes by (last train approx. 21:00 hours and first train ...approx. 06:00 hours). Some people are disturbed by the noise, others find it so slight that it is hardly worth mentioning.
