Canazei is the last but one town in the Fassa valley quite close to Campitello and
Alba di Canazei. The town consists of narrow quaint streets that run past old farmhouses, modern hotels and interesting shops. There are a number of activities on offer in the town as well as a lively nightlife.
Italian is the main language in Val di Fassa where the old handicrafts and traditions are still very much alive. This is noticeable in the shops where woodcarvings and lace are for sale alongside pots and pans.
You get to Canazei by aeroplane to
Venice or
Milan or by car via the Brenner motorway to Ora and up through Cavalese and Predazzo through the Fassa valley. Remember snow chains in the winter.
