| Burano is about 40 minutes away from Venice by boat. This means that only a very few tourists arrive here. It is very similar to Venice in as far as the town is built on piles with a grid system of canals. |

| You will find no cars or buses in Venice for the simple reason that there are no roads or streets, just canals. Therefore all transport in the city has to be either on foot or by boat. |

| The arena in Verona is undoubtedly the largest opera house in the world. In Roman time the old amphitheatre held a maximum of 25,000 spectators. |

| With its central location in the Veneto and its proximity to Padova, Venice, Verona and Lake Garda, you would think that this town would enjoy its fair share of visitors. When you consider the town’s beautiful buildings and friendly atmosphere, its quiet existence becomes even more difficult to understand. |
