Castelnuovo Berardenga, approx. 15 km east of
Siena, is surrounded by vineyards and hills in the famous wine district Chianti.
Castelnuovo Berardenga dates back to Etruscan times. It is a charming and pretty town surrounded by castles and fortresses. The town is also home to an old Carmelite convent built in 867 and the Montalto castle from 1090.
