This imposing manor house was built at the end of the 1300s by the Serristori family, one of the most influential Tuscan families at the time, and the architecture is magnificent. The terracotta floors, the decorated ceilings, the smart loggia, and the Italian garden are all of rare beauty. Today the farm is not just reserved for the aristocracy, but accessible to all of us, if we have enough money…
It is rare to find a place that manages to combine the rural with the urban. Here you enter the house from the street in the charming town of Figline Val d'Arno, and once through the house and into the garden, you could be in the country. Here is a swimming pool, sauna and exercise rooms, and in one of the wings of the farm there is a beauty clinic. Courses in drawing, painting and pottery are regularly held on the farm. ![]()
![]() Reporting on the restaurant we should first and foremost emphasize the atmosphere. It is housed in the old gun room where body armour and halberds hang on the wall. Secondly the wines produced on the ...farm, and the comprehensive and fine wine list should also be mentioned. Thirdly we recommend the soups (and you have to try Farro e Fagioli), and game (wonderful deer with juniper berry sauce). Lastly we must not forget the desserts, which are all home made. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Read more about Antica Taverna Casagrande
