Podere Il Martellino

This renovated farmhouse represents everybody's dream of the ideal holiday destination in Tuscany. You stay in an atmospheric old house in the country, and yet only 3 km away from the beach! Here are six apartments so you don't feel you are in a tourist centre. The house sits on a little hill and overlooks the sea, the bay of Follonica and Elba in the distance. The only drawback with this lovely place is Via Aurelia that runs 150 m from the house. This entails traffic noise although the road is hidden by the trees and hills.

The 19th century Il Martellino house originally belonged to the Habsburg-Lorraine family, who ruled the Grand Dukedom of Tuscany from sometime in the 18th century till the unification of Italy in 1860 ...(with the exception of a small interlude in Napoleon's era).

Today olive oil is produced on the 8 hectares belonging to the farm which also plays host to a modest number of guests. In the large garden there is a swimming pool (7 x 14 m and 1,37 m. deep) and several tables with matching chairs and umbrellas. All the apartments have their own table and chairs in the garden or on the terrace.

Apartment No. 5
- 2-room apartment sleeping 4 located on the ground floor. The apartment consists of a kitchen/family room with sofa bed for two, bedroom with double bed and bathroom/toilet.
Apartment No. 6
- 2-room apartment sleeping 4 located on the ground floor in a self-contained small building separate from the main building. The apartment consists of a kitchen/family room with sofa bed for two, bedroom with double bed and bathroom/toilet.
