Ristonchi Borg stands approx. 2.5 km above Pelago overlooking the Arno valley in an area of natural beauty with vineyards and olive trees that are so characteristic for this area.

It is an impressive castle with a small village and the church of St. Egil on the outskirts of the spectacular Vallombrosa forest. The tall tower was built in the 10th century and used as a watch tower ...for centuries. Around the tower a few farmhouses and a church grew up giving the place a village feeling. In fact Ristonchi was a village until the de-population of the rural areas in the 1950s. The bus sign is still visible on the road!

At the castle there is a swimming pool, garden, large terrace and a fantastic view over Pelago and the entire valley. Guests can use the restaurant (which is only open at weekends) and a small shop by Residence Villa Grassina, which is approx. 1 km away.

The apartments are either in the castle tower or in the adjoining building. They are not very spacious, but are charming and full of character. The swimming pool is a little way from the buildings. It is 15 x 8 m and 105-145 cm deep.

- The apartments are on two floors. On the ground floor there is a living room with dining table, kitchenette and sofa bed for one person, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower. On the first floor there are two bedrooms each with two single beds (or one bunk bed) and a bathroom with shower.
