Fonte Del Castagno is situated in the busy little town of Sinalunga. Southwest of Siena the old town has many points of interest for both the new and the seasoned traveler. The apartments are in a newly restored property that dates back centuries.

The old architecture has been masterfully preserved which is apparent in the apartments beautiful and characteristic arches which connect the rooms. An idyllic garden fronts the house, and most unusually ...for a house in a medieval town there is a 5 x 10 m swimming pool for the use of guests. Each apartment has a private lawn with garden table and chairs.

The interior décor of the apartments is remarkably tasteful and stylish. The furniture is of a consistently high quality and includes restored antiques. It is extremely rare to find furniture of this quality in rental accommodation. The atmosphere of the place alone is well worth the trip. There are few guests who don't remember the master of the house, 'Matisse' the resident cat. From the garden there is access to the car park and the old 13th century Well that has gives Fonte Del Castagno its name. On the other side of the property guests can use another gate which exits directly on to the high street of Sinalunga.
