Where the rivers Nestore and Tiber meet in the upper regions of Umbria you find the small charming town of Verna di Umbertide. The landscape around the town is typical for the area where Umbria meets Tuscany: green, lush and hilly. This is where Roman traders came to do business, and recently a Roman road has been discovered that connected the Tiber with the monastery San Cassiano. This monastery, which now forms part of Agriturismo Nestore, once belonged to the Abbot of Petroia. Later it was passed on to the Rossi family, who today owns both the monastery and the farm.

The old 18th century farmhouse has been converted to eight spacious and well designed apartments with stone floors and antique furniture. They can accommodate from two to six persons. The apartments all ...have TV, kitchen facilities, telephone and bathroom. Other facilities available to guests include swimming pool, mountain bikes, and various games. In the woods around the farm there is a comprehensive path system, making it possible to go for walks or bike rides of between 4 and 40 km. Within a relatively short distance of the farm it is also possible to go fishing, horse riding and hire canoes.
In the small village Verna di Umbertide there is a bar, but not much else. Fortunately you can enjoy a good and rustic meal at the farm itself several times a week. The nearest station / halt is called Ranchi and from there you can catch the local train, operated by Ferrovia Centrale Umbra, to Umbertide and Perugia. These cities are connected to the state railways.

All the apartments are beautifully furnished and restored, and are fitted with telephone and TV. However the kitchen facilities are simple but practical.
Please note: In mid August half board is possible (see supplement below).

- Apartment Verna is situated in the attic. It isIt It is approx. 25 m˛ and has a living room with kitchenette plus night area with double bed, bathroom with shower and balcony with garden furniture.
- Apartment Tabacco is on the first floor and is approx. 40 m˛ plus balcony. It consists of a living room with sofa bed and kitchenette plus fireplace, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower.
- Apartment Gelsomini is on the ground floor and is approx. 60 m˛. It consists of a living room with kitchenette, bedroom with two single beds, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower and toilet.
- Apartment Blu is on the first floor and is approx. 75 m˛. It consists of a corridor, large living room with double sofa bed and kitchenette, bedroom sleeps 3 and bathroom with bath tub. It also has a terrace with garden furniture of 12 m˛.
- Apartment Archi is on the ground floor and is approx. 60 m˛. It also has its own garden right outside the apartment. The apartment is suitable for the disabled and consists of a big living room with fireplace and kitchenette, bedroom with two single beds, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower and toilet
- Apartment Balcone is in the mansard and is approx. 60 m˛. It consists of a corridor with big balcony of 26 m˛, big living room with fireplace and kitchenette, bedroom with two single beds, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with shower and toilet. Note that the bathroom is off the bedroom with double bed.
- Apartment Giallo is on two floors and is approx. 52 m˛. The entrance is on the first floor up an outdoor staircase leading to a loggia of 6 m˛. On the first floor there is a living room with kitchenette. Stairs lead up to the mansard where there are two bedrooms with double bed and bathroom with shower.
- Apartment Arancione is on the first floor and is approx. 90 m˛ with a loggia of 6 m˛. It consists of a big living room with double sofa bed and kitchenette plus fireplace, bedroom with double bed, bedroom with two single beds and big bathroom with shower.
- Apartment Verde is on the first floor and is approx. 80 m˛. It consists of a corridor with balcony, large living room with double sofa bed and kitchenette plus sleeping loft, bedroom with double bed, bedroom with two single beds and bathroom with bath tub. It also has a terrace of 12 m˛ with garden furniture.
