In summer Aosta becomes a true paradise. The well-known ski resorts that are covered by snow in winter are transformed into lush forests in summer only broken by the wonderful white glaciers on the mountain peaks. Small streams with ice-cold mountain water appear in the valleys.

At the same time Aosta is full of historic sights. A number of interesting castles are located in the green valleys from where events of the area were controlled in the past.
