Turin is a beautiful city dating back to Roman times. The city is situated in beautiful surroundings of green and fertile hills and the wide Po river. Along the banks of the river there are many charming cafes and restaurants, which are a good place to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening.

From Piazza Castello you can experience the city's magnificent centre with its colonnaded streets. On Via Roma and in the Via Garibaldi area you find many interesting shops and places to eat. Try the local drink "bicerin" which consists of the most delightful dark chocolate, hot milk and coffee. And on the subject of chocolate, it should be mentioned that Turin is also renowned for making fantastic chocolate products.
Other towns which can be mentioned for their charm, atmosphere or monuments include Asti, Canelli, Barolo and Alba.
