In the middle of Tuscany, in the triangle between Florence, Pisa and Siena, the vineyard Fattoria Poggio Capponi enjoys a spectacular setting in the wonderful landscape that inspired the Taviani brothers to film 'La Notte di San Lorenzo' in this area.


The history of the farm dates back to the end of the 1400s. Today it is no longer owned by the Capponi family but by another aristocratic family, Rousseau Colzi, who seriously extended the agricultural business here in the 1930s. They produce several types of wine and olive oil, and they grow corn and sunflowers on their 500 hectares of land. In the past few years the family has extended their activities to include renting out a range of apartments found either on the farm itself or on the nearby farm, Podere Masso (400 m away).


The farm has a splendid large swimming pool and there is a restaurant and a pizzeria in the nearby village. Needless to say it is possible to buy a few bottles of the annual production of 220,000 directly from source, and wine tastings are arranged from time to time on the farm.




The 4-room apartment I Pini (1st floor)
- The apartment is 105 m² and is situated on the farm itself. There are two bedrooms each with two single beds, one bedroom with a double bed, a large kitchen/family room and two bathrooms, one of which with bath tub. The apartment has its own garden.
The 3-room apartment La Spiga (ground floor)
- Apartment on two floors of 56 m² situated on the farm itself. It has one bedroom with double bed, one bedroom with two single beds, kitchen/family room and bathroom with toilet with shower. A really good apartment, of above average standard on the farm.
The 3-room apartment Casa Regina (1st floor)
- Apartment on the first floor situated on Podere Masso approx. 400 metres from the farm. Its 80 m² cover a living room with fireplace, kitchen with oven and dishwasher, bedroom with two single beds, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with toilet with shower. It is one of the farm's best apartments!
The 3-room apartment Casa Milena (ground floor)
- Apartment on the ground floor of 70 m² situated on Podere Masso approx. 400 metres from the farm. The apartment has a kitchen/family room, bedroom with two single beds, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with toilet with shower.
3-room apartment Casa Ausilia (ground floor)
- Apartment on the ground floor of 60 m² situated on Podere Masso approx. 400 metres from the farm. The apartment has a kitchen/family room, bedroom with two single beds, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with toilet with shower.
The 2-room apartment Diomira (1st floor)
- This first floor apartment is situated on Podere Masso approx. 400 meter from the farm. Its 45 m² cover a kitchen/family room, bedroom with double bed and bathroom with toilet with shower.
