You might think that the following is too much of a conincidence to be anything than a joke: The hotel is called Albergo Moretti, and it is located in the town Moretti in Piazza Moretti, and the owner is called...Massimo Moretti!

But it is all true. However, many would no doubt find it difficult to believe the price: Here it still is possible to live well for a reasonable price.

The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, and the style is thoroughly homely in the best meaning of the word.

The hotel restaurant is extremely pleasant and offers typical local mountain cuisine with comprehensive use of mushrooms and chestnuts.
It is obvious from the wine list that the owner takes an interest in what he pours into the glass; it is surprisingly large and varied for such a small hotel.

And then we should just add that the wine prices in some cases are lower than the ones we found in the shops a few years ago.
