The square that this and the rest of the San Gregorio apartments surround has a bar and restaurant and is a great communal meeting centre for fishermen and tourists alike. The apartments are small and over furnished for their size, but with that said it may not be noticed because of the atmosphere of the square and the lapping sea beckoning at the door step.

Next to the apartment you can buy fish from the fishermen as they come return from the sea about 08:30 in the morning. On the other side of the road is the beach and the bay of San Gregorio.

The railway line between Palermo and Messina runs behind San Gregorio, so you have to be prepared for noise the few times a day when the train passes (last train leaves approx. 21:00, and the first approx. 06:00. Some find this noise bothers them, others find it so slight that it is not worth mentioning. However, studio Anemone has no windows facing the railway and so the noise is less.
