Sitting in the middle of the plains of Cortona amidst the seasonal colors of the flowers and plant life is the Azienda Agrituristica Il Barattino. This large farm is full of fruit trees, olive groves and vineyards and offers accommodation in two typical Tuscan style farmhouses. Alba Chiara and Goccia di Rugiada have been tastefully restored with terracotta, wood and stone interiors giving a healthy slice of old farmhouse life.

Cortona with its medieval style, Etruscan origins and immense store of valuable works of art is easily reached by car. On of Italy’s largest lakes Trasimeno is nearby and has beaches, islands and the many ancient towns on its surrounding hillsides.

The houses have shady well kept gardens large enough for guests to have their own area and are both situated close to the communal 5 x 12m swimming pool.
