Hotel Orsa Maggiore is located 400 m from 'The Bay of Black Sand'. The name comes from the dark volcanic sand, and here you can swim in the shallow and crystal clear water.
The little harbour of Vulcano is only 1 km away. The hotel has its own 10,000 m² garden.

The owner Rodolfo and his family welcome their guests to this island of paradise. The hotel facilities include a terrace, swimming pool, laundry room, restaurant, bar, reading room and parking for cars and boats. Please note that local law only allows visitors staying a minimum of 7 days to bring a car.

The hotel bedrooms are large and comfortable but not luxurious. They all have en suite bathrooms with shower, telephone, air conditioning (switched on at certain times between 15 June and 15 September), satellite TV and balcony.
The superior rooms are slightly larger and sound proofed. They all face the pool and have their own terrace with garden furniture as well as private air conditioning.

The restaurant is run by Rodolfo who is an excellent cook; guests can choose between many Aeolian and Sicilian specials, both fish and more traditional dishes.
