The name of the farm refers to the fact that the place used to be a nunnery (suore means nuns in Italian). It is registered on very old local maps. It was not actually a cloister as we understand it, but it was annexed to a cloister in the neighbourhood. The farm lies up the slopes of the Catria mountain. Nearby are the mountains of Petrano and Nerone, which today are designated Nature Parks for the protection of local fauna.

The farm is made up of a small village situated in the middle of the land belonging to the farm (70 hectares). The "village" consists of a large main house and four buildings. The large house is converted into nine apartments, which as far as possible appear with the original features intact, including original wooden ceilings and terracotta floors.
The other four buildings are from the late 1800s. In addition to accommodation they also contain a large public room and a restaurant serving the dishes and specialities most typical for the Marche region and the truffle valleys. The restaurant is open once or twice a week in mid and high season.

Guests are free to use the swimming pool on the farm (16 x 9 m), the tennis court and the private lake, which is ideal for angling or just walking. In addition the farm has its own stables and offers riding lessons. It is possible to go horse riding to the nearby mountain peaks with a local guide. There are fabulous views from the houses over the surrounding area with its vineyards, grazing land and woods

There are 15 apartments altogether (one 1-room apartment, eleven 2-room apartments, one 3-room apartment sleeping 4, and two 3-room apartments sleeping 6). The apartments sleep 34 persons in total, and they all have private entrance. Simple furnishings re-create the atmosphere of the past; however, each apartment has a modern fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Furthermore, each apartment has its own garden table and chairs in the garden, making it possible to enjoy lunch in the shade under the trees, or relax in the evenings after dinner.

For an extra charge you can use the sofa bed.
