Lignano is known for its good, wide beaches and its lovely pinewoods. The town has modern facilities and a relaxing, family-oriented atmosphere. Besides facilities for tennis, horse riding and golf, there is a water park and a zoo with more than 2,000 animals – a delight for the youngest tourists.
This town lies inland at the delta of the Marano lagoon. The whole area is reclaimed seabed, so it’s completely flat. On the surrounding farmland, the locals grow grapes for wine and a variety of other agricultural products.
