Another one of the many smaller quaint towns in the Tuscan Maremma, which it is hard to find in the guidebooks.
In spite of the many positive things one can say about Campagnatico there are really no cultural wonders to behold. On the other hand there are several restaurants and pizzerias as well as bars and grocery shops in the town, and it is situated right next to Tuscany’s newest up and coming wine area, the mountain Monte Cucco.
If truth be known there are also a few medieval churches with spectacular frescos. However, if the travel guides were to mention all such towns in Tuscany they would run into thousands of pages.
If you want to explore a bit, Grosseto is 23 km away, the beach at Marina di Grosseto 36 km and Siena 60 km away.
