Lido di Jesolo is loved and well-known to many of us Scandinavians - not least for its wide range of activities, especially for families with children.

The town is 17 km long and is located along the Adriatic coast in the northern part of Italy not far from Venice. You could say that the city more or less is divided in two; the eastern and the western part. In both areas, there are many opportunities for activities, lots of shops and restaurants. It is said that the eastern part is a little more quiet area and the beach here is also a little wider than in the west. The western part, in turn, has the largest selection of shops and restaurants and this is where most hotels are located.
You can easily come from the eastern part to the western part by public transport that runs throughout the day. In both areas the main road is closed to traffic from 20.00 pm. to 06.00 am (only during summer). The long main street is divided by the different "piazzaer" (squares) and in the evening it is quickly turned into a wide pedestrian street with lots of activities and entertainments for children. In particular, the little electric train, that goes around in the city. There are very good cycling terms and many places it is possible to rent a "cyclingwagon" that carries up to 6 people - a really fun thing for the whole family.

Outside the city in the western part you will find the big water park with lots of water activities and various shows for both children and adults. It is also in this area you will find the city's discotheques. They are placed outside the city centre, but still within a short distance from there. There are also go-kart track, amusement park, golf course and many other activities.
Lido di Jesolo is one of the Italian seaside resorts, closest to Denmark: 1540 km from Copenhagen and 1650 km from Aarhus. It is also the perfect base for trips to lots of other interesting towns. Venice is located 45 km from Lido di Jesolo and the easiest is to take the bus from Lido di Jesolo to Punta Sabbione or Treporti and then take the boat over. This has got to be the best way to arrive in Venice! You can also visit cultural towns further afield such as Padova, Vicenza or Verona, where you can go sight-seeing for days or even weeks at a time!
