Bibbona lies in the hills south of Livorno a few km from the sea. The nearest train station is Cecina, and Pisa airport is ideally located if you are flying.
The town is not particularly big but very pretty. Sights worth seeing are the 17th century tower (restored several times), the church Chiesa di Sant’Illario founded around 1000 AD and rebuilt in the 14th century, and the palace Palazzo Rossi Ciampolini built towards the end of 18th century and slightly modified a century later.
Bibbona is the ideal place if you want to stay slightly inland but still have easy access to lovely beaches.
