Rosano sull'Arno is approximately 25 km from Florence and just 2 km from Pontassieve, where the nearest train station is.
There is an old convent in Rosano, and in the nearby Roman church you can see a crucifix dating from the 12th century. Here, you’ll also find some restaurants and some shops. While there, you must visit Pontassieve’s town centre with its Castello di San Michele ruins dating from the 14th century, the town hall and the monumental Medici bridge over the Sieve River.
