This area is still largely undiscovered and– as the name suggests – famous for its truffles that can be picked here all year round.  The valleys, located in lands once belonging to the powerful Renaissance family, the Montefeltros, is characterized by rolling hills and streams which are great for swimming. But beautiful scenery is not all this area has to offer. You can also visit its numerous convents and abbeys or take a trips to nearby medieval towns, such as Gubbio, Assisi, Urbino and San Marino.

Here, you can go riding or truffle hunting with local guides and their dogs. The local cuisine is based on the local forests, which provide fantastic ingredients such as truffles, game, berries, mushrooms and other fruits of the forest.

In-Italia offers accommodation in old farmhouses or properties outside the towns. The houses have retained the traditional old-fashioned style, with antique furniture, open fireplaces, cotto floors and original ceilings creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. The accommodation standards are high but prices affordable. If you want to get the most of your stay in Truffle Valley, a car is a must.

We recommend the following excursions:
Urbino
Frasassi's Grottes
Cagli
Passo del Furlo
La via Flaminia
San Leo Castle
Gubbio
San Marino
