Cinquale can almost be described as a huge residential neighbourhood and is located by the Forte dei Marmi. The villas in the area are surrounded by pine trees and large gardens and are inhabited mainly in the warmer months.
The beach along the coast is sandy, although with small stones in some areas. The seabed is child-friendly and generally safe in good weather conditions.
There are a lot of restaurants, pizzarias and shops in Cinquale, as well as plenty of activities such as riding, tennis and roller-skating. If you are in search of nightlife, you have to go to Forte dei Marmi or Viareggio, just a few kilometres away. Although there are train stations in many of the neighbouring towns, we would not recommend going to Cinquale without a car, unless you are prepared to do a lot of walking or pay hefty taxi bills.
