Lucignano is not a famous or well-known Tuscan town. Paradoxically, everyone talks about the slightly dull Greve in Chianti, which is full to the brim with tourists leaving Lucignano as an undiscovered treasure to the vast majority.

Its location on a hilltop with ancient fortified walls all round, makes it hard to imagine a more picturesque Tuscan town.
The fascinating construction consists of concentric circles with the centre of the town and the most important church at the highest point in the middle.

The town is full of interesting churches, good restaurants and very friendly inhabitants, and with its location between Arezzo, Siena and Cortona, it makes a great base for sightseeing trips.
