You really would expect Loro Ciuffenna to be more commercialised, lying as it does between Florence and Arezzo, but in this town there are surprisingly few non-natives.
This charming town lies at the foot of the Pratomagno mountain chain where some of Tuscany’s best hams come from. The lovely River Ciuffenna flows picturesquely through the town giving it a refreshing atmosphere.
The town’s narrow streets are labyrinthine, but the town is not big enough to get too lost in. Besides the fantastic atmosphere, there are several charming restaurants and cafés in this town, which is about 29 km from Arezzo and 57 km from Florence.
If you are driving you can get to Arezzo and Florence quite quickly since the main A1 motorway connecting Rome and Milan is just 8 km from the town.
