Bardolino is one of the gorgeous towns on the southeastern shores of Lake Garda. It is also a well-known wine area stretching from Lake Garda right across to the neighbouring wine district of Valpolicella.
Bardolino wines are best known as light red table wines suitable for pasta dishes and light meals.
Bardolino has a magnificent promenade along the lake and comfortable pebble beaches around the town. There are a number of interesting churches, good walks and bike rides in the hinterland. The neighbouring towns of Garda and Lazise are both interesting and within a few minutes reach.
It is not far from Bardolino to Verona where the shopping street Via Mazzini is a must. Just south of Lazise is the huge theme park Gardaland wonderful for both children and adults alike. A good safari park is only a few km away and if you follow the Mincio river southwards you reach the spectacular flower park Parco Sigurta. In other words, there is lots to do and see at Lake Garda not to mention the opera shows in the old arena in Verona.
