Tocco da Casauria is a small community of about 3,000 residents. It is located on a hill above the valley of the river Pescara. It is positioned about 45 km inland up to Pescara and about 60 km southeast of the capital of L'Aquila region.
Near the town the grapes of Montepulciano are grown for the DOC wine Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. In Tocco da Casauria you will also find many olive oil productions.
Locations worth visiting are: Sant'Eustachio church and the castle of Caracciolo more.
There is a small selection of restaurants in the town. Among other things, there is a restaurant in the old town near the medieval castle, that functions as a restaurant and wine bar. Otherwise, go a few kilometers outside the city and you will find a larger selection of restaurants.
The station is located in the neighboring town of Torre de 'Passeri, about 6 km away. There is a train connection between Pescara and Sulmona.
