Canetto is a small community that is quite unique compared to Lipari town centre, and it is less exposed to tourists that come to the Island from Sicily and Calabria for just a day trip.
Canetto beach consists of pebbles and faces east with the most crystal clear water. Along the beach promenade you will find a number of ice cream parlours and family restaurants. In the centre of Lipari itself, you can find everything possible including a pharmacy, a bank, post office and buses that run back and forth to Lipari town. Therefore, it is possible to have a holiday here without the need for a car. There are many opportunities to rent a scooter on the island and also endless options for tours of Lipari on land, or around it and the other surrounding islands by boat.

In general the hotel is simply furnished but has all that you need. There is an entrance on the ground floor which leads to the reception and the breakfast room. An elevator leads up to the upper floors where there are 18 rooms. All rooms have a balcony, some even have a sea view albeit interspersed with views of the rooftops of other buildings. Also you will find a safety deposit box, a mini-bar, air conditioning, a TV and a bathroom with a toilet, shower and hairdryer in every room.
Overall it is a good place to sleep for a reasonable price. It is recommended for those who do not plan to take advantage of it during the day on the basis that it doesn't have the fabulous views that so many other Aeolian hotels have. Please note that the price includes transfers to and from Lipari port on arrival and departure.
