This stylish family run hotel led by the charismatic Rudolfo offers you a warm welcome and an enchanting setting for your holiday on this paradise Island. From Vulcano you are well placed to take day trips to see the other Aeolian Islands. After exciting days out, you can relax on your own balcony or enjoy an aperitif by the pool, followed by dinner in a pleasant setting.
From the moment you arrive into the charming small port, you will be enchanted by the exotic small island atmosphere. Rodolfo the friendly host will be there to meet you to take your luggage and drive you from the port to the hotel in the hotel shuttle bus (free to guests). Once you arrive at the hotel, the glistening swimming pool will be a welcoming sight and you can take a cooling dip before lunch as you smell the fresh aromas coming from the Orsa Maggiore's own restaurant to get your taste buds flowing! If you prefer to swim in the sea, this is easily done as a short stretch of road (approx. 400 metres) separates you from the exotic black sand beach spiaggia delle Sabbie nere with its crystal clear water. The sea water here is always a little warmer than normal since it is heated by the underground volcano activity, and that's what makes it such a fascinating location for a holiday!

Rudolfo the owner, his sister Mary and their mother will welcome you to this paradise Island. You can enjoy the cosy setting with your loved one in the oasis that the family have created which includes a luxurious tropical garden of 10,000 m², with a lovely swimming pool and a hydro-massage area, a bar, a reading room and a good restaurant. There is also parking for cars and boats - note that the island's laws require that only visitors who stay on the island for at least seven days during August, are allowed to bring their car.
The restaurant is now managed by Rodolfo who is the chef with the help of a cook, and his mother still bakes the cookies! She is the source of inspiration for many of the dishes and the specialities are largely fish and seafood based including lobster. You can look forward to dining outside on the patio weather permitting. You can choose to dine in the restaurant either a la carte, half-board or full-board. Of course you will want a nice bottle of wine to complement the dinner and the hotel has a good selection of wines from Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. You'll find a choice of red, white, rose and even sparkling if you are celebrating something special - and this certainly is a wonderful place to do so.

Pick up and dropped off at the harbour. Very friendly and involved staff. Right from the cleaning in the morning, to the waiters in the evening, in the hotels very cosy restaurant
Nice room with balcony just outside the hotels garden, with a lovely pool. Very well driven.
Got multiple trip offers, including city trips, beaches and of course the volcano.
It was some trip with an incline the day we were there, and then it swarmed with motivated tourists, who wanted to see the island, volcano, and the world from above.
Saw, that you could rent cars. Was used by some tourists.
The sail was also in itself, a very fine experience. And then it is always nice to walk by the harbour, and see what boats come and go.
