For thousands of years countless pilgrims have passed through Apulia on their way to the region's holy shrines or to the ports, from where they set sail to the Holy Land. Here in the middle of Alberobello's many trullies you find this former theological college now converted to a hotel and a home for pilgrims.
The old monastery's colonnade is still standing, but the spartan cells are now comfortable bedrooms with en suite bathroom with hair dryer, TV and telephone. This is just the place for anyone wanting to spend a few days in peaceful surroundings in one of Italy's most distinctive and interesting towns.
