Ceglie Messapica is located in the northern part of Salento approx. 12 km from Ostuni. It is known as the White City, and is approx. 32 km away from Alberobello which is world famous for the unusual trulli house - the round huts made of stone.
The history of the town dates back to before 1000 BC and there are many ancient ruins to admire in this area from different periods. The landscape is just as varied and the coastline is exotic. We can recommend the beaches of Torre Canne and Monopoli.
The town currently has around 20,000 residents and a good choice of cafe's restaurants and shops.
