The numerous facilities (swimming pool, children's pool and tennis court) and its central location in relation to the sandy beach and Vieste old town centre makes this a very attractive place for a family holiday in the Gargano region.
If your dream is to stay within a stone's throw of a beautiful beach, and to be surrounded by authenticity and history, then Hotel Falcone is the answer. It is only 100 metres to the beach and 400 metres to the historic centre of Vieste so really you have it all. It is on quite a busy main road that leads out of the town centre so there is some traffic noise, however it is slightly shielded behind the elevated swimming pool and some trees and plants. You can book a parking place or garage (for a surcharge).

There are many outdoor facilities for guests to use including a lovely pool with sun loungers and parasols and a children's pool. In addition, there is a large roof terrace with sun beds and sea views and a hard asphalt tennis court. The hotel has a lido on the beach which includes a sunbed and umbrella if you book the half-board option. Otherwise you must pay extra to use these.
Upon arrival you will find a reception and an elevator to take you up to the rooms. The breakfast buffet can be enjoyed indoors or outside on the large terrace. The hotel also boasts a TV lounge, an internet point and fWi-Fi in the hall. It should be added that the hotel is distinguished by its location, views, facilities and friendly staff. The decor in the public areas is a higher standard than the decor in the rooms.
These rooms have air conditioning, a telephone, a mini-bar, a safety deposit box, a TV (with Italian channels), a bathroom with a toilet, hair dryer and shower or bath. These rooms have either a balcony or views, and have been recently renovated. It is possible to add two extra beds in these rooms.
We, 2 adults and a boy of 8 years, had 5 great days at the Falcone, which is a good and nice hotel, which is located centrally in the town of Vieste and the beach. The rooms are very clean, and the cleaning is perfect every day, the beds are good and the air conditioning isn't noisy. Even though we stayed next to a busy road, the rooms are really soundproof, and you can create complete darkness if you wish..
The pool is big and nice, and the area around it is nice with a lifeguard most of the day.
The breakfast was delicious with lots of fruit, and everything you could want.. The waiters sometimes had trouble keeping up...
Classic hotel in Vieste. Fantastic location, friendly staff, lovely breakfast with lovely view. If you want a few minuses - a little worn down hotel, small one room for families.
Incredible scenarios and very beautiful roads on the way to Veiste. Further along you first arrive at a several km long beach, which is bordered by lots of different, small resorts. The hotel is right by the end of the beach.
The hotel has what it takes. Some weird distributions with the beds, where there are two 1st floors, two 2nd floors, etc. The hotel lies on a small slope, and has probably been built further out so there is several floors - you will learn quickly? The rooms are pretty simple, but you have what you need. There is a pool, and if I remember correctly, also a tennis court. We didn't use the facilities, it was too hot for tennis and there was a lovely ocean nearby.
The best thing about this hotel, though, is the location. A couple of hundred meters and then you are in the old part of town, which is flooded with restaurants, bars, shops, and more. You can also go in the other direction and take the main road down to the beach, or if you are in a car, you are quick to discover a new beach.
Vieste is very touristy with most of them being Italian.
The worst thing about the hotel was probably the breakfast, but it was also pretty sparsely decorated by Italian standards, and things were inadequately refilled again, after use (sweets were continually refilled, however).
