On a small hill in the southeastern Basilicata you find the farm La Colinetta. The Ferrara family lives here and runs a versatile farm. They grow lemons, apricots, cherries and peaches. They have sheep and poultry; they make honey and wine. Last year they expanded their activities by receiving guests and starting a restaurant.
There is a swimming pool on the farm (10 x 20 m), and a separate children's pool, horse riding, tennis court and as already mentioned a restaurant, serving traditional Calabrian home cooking, preferably using the farm's own produce. If you tire of the swimming pools the beach is less than 5 km away.

Agriturismo La Colinetta is also a good base for excursions to Basilicata and the neighbouring regions of Puglia and Calabria with their many sights. Just in Basilicata we could mention the old Greek towns of Metaponto and Policoro, which both have many exciting archaeological excavations of interest to visitors. It is impossible to visit the area without paying a visit to the town on the rock, Matera, which is an hour's drive from here.
The bedrooms on the farm all have en suite bathroom. In addition to the standard rooms in the main building, there are also suite rooms –ideal for families – with two separate rooms sharing a bathroom.
