Right on the cliffs above the harbour in the oldest part of Tropea's historic centre, you will find Casa di Ulisse, a collection of distinctive apartments, many with sea views. They are an easy walking distance to the centre's main pedestrian street with plenty of shops and restaurants.
Casa di Ulisse is part of a mansion house from the 1500's, whose foundations date back to Roman times. The building is located on the edge of a cliff at 54 metres above sea level. The building was renovated to a high level in 2004, and each apartment has a distinct cosy character and original features.

The apartments are simply furnished to emphasize the impressive walls and caves, which are characterized by terracotta floors, wooden beams and original architectural elements. The kitchens are only suitable for preparing breakfast or light meals, as it only has two hobs, but there are many restaurants in town that are reasonably priced. The apartments all have interior stairways, and are not necessarily suitable for families with small children.
