Perfect for exploring the Amalfi coast
Hotel Residence is located at Amalfi’s seafront with the beach just a few steps away. The town of Amalfi is actually quite small, but you can easily loose your way during your exploration of the narrow white alleys. Browsing the shops for souvenirs and local products, including every variation on the famous lemon products. You can taste the Amalfitana specialties, such as the strong limoncello. There are plenty of nice bars where you sit down for a drink, eat a pastry and watch the world go by.
A stroll along the sea front is another great relaxing walk. When you're tired of admiring Amalfi's charms, you can take a stroll up the valley through lemon groves and old paper mills. For people that like hikes, the steep mountainsides offer many challenging walks. The hike trail named “the path of the gods” is a lovely and spectacular trail and nearby. It offers one of the best panoramas of Italy so they say.
Just in front of the hotel there is a small beach, which tends to get very busy on peak summer days and during the weekends. There are several places where you can hire beds etc. and there is also a stretch of free beach.
Although Amalfi is a great attraction by itself, though we definitely suggest to rent a car for a day or so, or embark on an excursion to many of the great sights nearby. All within easy reach you can find Sorrento, Napels, Positano and of course Pompeii and the islands of Capri and Ischia.

The first one on the beach!
Hotel Residence is a great place to stay. The breakfast is served on the outdoor terrace and from here you have a great view over the beach and shoreline. You can select your sun bed while you zip your coffee. For diner and lunch you are surrounded by good restaurants and bars. During the day and afternoon you can also pop in the Hotels bar for an aperitif. Staff at reception is pleased to help you out with any reservations, tours or questions you might have.
If you decide to come to Amalfi by car, there is no on site parking at the hotel, only a nearby location (fee). WiFi is free of charge and facilitated throughout the hotel.
A blend of modern and classic rooms
Hotel Residence features a total of 27 rooms. Different room types are available and all are furnished in a Mediterranean style. All rooms come with a small or french balcony and some overlook the sea and others the Piazza Duomo. A few rooms have a private terrace. Furthermore they are equipped with air conditioner, minibar, sat TV, WiFi, safe and a bathroom with shower and hairdryer.
