An oasis

Conca dei Marini is greatly located between beautiful Positano and Amalfi. A beach of natural beauty and authentic restaurants, where you only can get to by boat or by foot. One of the challenges is parking, but not by the house, which has a fantastic separate and safe place for a rental car, that you don't want to get damaged.

The house itself is probably from the 1700 and tastefully renovated with modern facilities.
We are going back.

Amalfi Coast as a holiday destination

Give yourself time to walk down to the public beach and eat well at il Tonnarello with fish and shellfish, which has only been transported 15 m. onto the shore.

Own villa with pool in Amalfi.

The villa is beautifully located high up in Conca dei Marini, amongst green plantations along the mountainside. The owner of the villa lives next door, and is very kind and accommodating.
We started our arrival by picking our lemons from the lot's lemon orchards. We were welcomed by the Italian agency, who also was easy to get a hold of and very helpful for the rest of the trip.
The pool was amazing, and we used it to go for a swim before breakfast. The house itself was pretty big, and the living room was sparsely furnished, but we also spend most of the time out on the terrace.
The first floor, however, was completely opposite with nice and clean rooms, and the kitchen was spacious and well-equipped (gas cooker and dishwasher).
If you are arriving by car, the house has a well-functioning parking space, since the Amalfi Coast has a big lack of such. Wifi connection was surprisingly good and fast.

Amalfi Coast as a holiday destination

There's a very good restaurant within walking distance (Le Bonta del Capo), right next to a grocery store (typical local Italian, with a small selection of local products). We ate at the restaurant several times.

Bus is preferable to car. We had rented a car, but it was only used for small trips, it can be recommended to take the bus to e.g. Amalfi, since it's cheaper and safer. The timetables is a bit imprecise.

Amalfi is a lovely place where there's lots to see and do. Do not miss the cathedral, and walk around a bit in the different little streets and try the different restaurants. The beach is also very nice and clean, however a little expensive, is you want to rent sunbeds.

Conca dei Marini itself isn't very big, but there's a private beach with sunbeds and a couple of okay restaurants.

The villa is located high above the ocean, which makes it a bit difficult to get down to the beach by the small stairs, and is therefore not suitable for the walking-impaired.

We took a short boat trip from Conca dei Marini to Grotta dello Smeraldo, and we think, it was a great trip.

Don't miss a trip to Pompeii and Vesuvius - definitely worth seeing. We bought a trip, which was organised by the Italian agency. We spend quite a while in a bus, but a well-organised trip.

Beautifully located, but a bit far to walk to the bus stop, and relatively difficult to travel by car at Amalfi.
