Palazzo Vingius is a small cosy hotel with just 9 rooms, located above the harbour and the beach in the centre of Minori town, with great views of the town and the sea.
The hotel is housed in one of the town's old palaces, and opened as a hotel in the summer of 2007. It is owned by the friendly couple Trofimena and Andrea, who are also responsible for the daily operations. There are approx. 100 steps from street level on the harbour up to the front desk, but if you arrive by car or public bus, there is also access to the top floor from the coastal road that runs right behind the building.

On the way up to the front desk, you pass the hotel's communal terrace where there is a jacuzzi, Turkish bath (extra charge) and sunbeds. There is also a small bar and breakfast room. On the common terrace, it is possible to enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine after the day's experiences, whilst you watch over activities on the beach and seafront promenade. As an added bonus, hotel guests have free access to the family's private beach in the neighbouring town of Maiori, where there are both sun loungers and parasols. Maiori is Amalfi Coasts longest beach and can be reached by public bus in 5 minutes, or you can get a lift with Andrea if he is going that way.
The rooms are spread over 3 floors. The 3 upper rooms have no balconies but they do have the best view. All rooms are simply but elegantly furnished, and Trofimena spent a lot of time sourcing the right materials to fit the rooms. All rooms have sea views, wi.fi, telephone, satellite TV with LCD screen, mini-bar, safe, air conditioning and a bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toilet.
Minori is well connected by public transport, and you should consider that all parking in this area is on a 'first come first served' or payment basis if you arrive by car.

A lovely small hotel with a great central location. Good service in the reception. Small rooms (No. 4) which didn't smell very fresh!
Very expensive parking by the hotel!
Don't go to Palazzo Vingius with everything, that you own, to get to the hotel, you need to climb a stair with 103 steps, and there is no elevator. Charming hotel, room with balcony, with a view over the Minori bay and the Amalfi coast. The car trip is fantastic, visually speaking, but stressing, because the small roads twist a lot. The view over the villages along the Amalfi coast is spectacular and fantastically beautiful.
Sweet, little hotel, with a fantastic location and view.
Kind staff.
Breakfast was a little sparse, needed some good Italian bread, and fruit.
Cheese, ham and yoghurt wasn't kept cool, so it was quickly boring in the heat.
A little expensive to park the car, on the public parking lot, down in front of the hotel.
Would happily return to Vingius, though.
My wife and I just returned after a great holiday on the Amalfi Coast and we found Palazzo Vingius to be a really cute and charming place to stay in Minori. It has a great location with wonderful views across the bay, and is close to everything. There are a few steps to climb up which take you through little archways and passageways and it's a very charming setting, with the beach right at the bottom of the steps. We found the room to be really clean and all very well maintained with a nice atmosphere. We stayed in room 3 with a balcony and the sea and mountain view was wonderful. Breakfast was a nice mixture of fresh pastries, cakes, bread, jams etc with fresh coffees and cappuccinos being made by the assistant and we ate it on the terrace with wonderful sea views. The owner was super helpful at giving us advice on trips and buses etc. One day after a long hike, we enjoyed the free jacuzzi which is in a small conservatory just below the reception of the hotel with sea views and it is a very nice extra to have in a hotel like this.
Palazzo Vingius is a cosy small hotel with a friendly and helpful staff that are always ready with some useful information.
The warmest recommendations from us!!
