Casale Villarena is located in Nerano's charming little centre alongside the old church. The property was built in the late 1700's by the noble family Villarena, and it quickly became famous for the good lemons that grew here. The building has since been rebuilt several times and has over the centuries had several functions, such as a villa and a monastery.
Since 1985, the young Gugliemo has managed the property and adapted it. Some of the old storage rooms and annexes were no longer necessary and the villa's rooms were in need of some TLC. Guglielmo has managed to create some elegant and comfortable housing without destroying the cosy atmosphere.

In addition to these improvements, you will now find an eatery at the Casale Villarena, a small pool with a sun terrace, a small laundry and parking. There is a lemon orchard below the house and also a small playground. There is internet connection in reception. Guglielmo provides assistance with arranging transfers to and from Naples airport if you do not arrive by car (we certainly recommend it, as there is so much to see in the area), and he also arranges day trips to the islands and other area attractions.
The apartments are comfortable and all have air conditioning for the hottest days. In the morning, weather permitting that is, breakfast is served in the beautiful garden with lemon trees (for a fee). The nearest shops are approx. 100 metres from the house. There are many restaurants to choose from (and they are good) by La Marina (about 900 metres from the house).
