Palinuro is one of the most famous cities along the Campania southern coastline of the national park: Parco Nazionale del Cilento e del Vallo di Diano.
The area is known for it's wildlife, laid-back nature, spectacular views and the beach in Palinuro is one of Campania's best. For those who love the water there is much to discover here.
There are a series of underwater caves including The Blue Grotto (like the one on Capri) that you can only access via small boats from the sea. They are said to be quite an experience with the beautiful blue glow, and L'Arco Naturale (a naturally shaped hole in a rock) and are a must see in these parts.
