The Grand Hotel Excelsior enjoys a wonderful location in Pogerola, a small town overlooking the beautiful Amalfi Coast. It has some grand features such as chandeliers and other fine decorations made of glass from Murano in Venice.
Lounge by the pool
You can spend days relaxing by or in the pool, with the sundeck and the bar, surrounded by lemon groves. The area is home to many bars, restaurants and parks where you can enjoy the beauty of the Amalfi coast. The centre of Amalfi is located a few kilometres below the hotel. You can reach it by foot along a footpath which is located 30 metres from the hotel, or by bus. The hotel also has a meeting room, a restaurant with panoramic rooms and several beautiful terraces.

Taste the traditional Italian menu
You can dine well in the hotel restaurant with a good variety of dishes made from fresh ingredients. Half-board is available for a modest price. The wine list is not very big, but there are good local wines to choose from. The breakfast room is located in the bottom floor, and features a large buffet of pastries, croissants, cold cuts, cheese, cornflakes, muesli, yoghurt, fruit and a little more. Both dinner and breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors, as long as the weather permits, as both dining rooms open onto a large terrace with sea views.
Rooms with Air Con
The rooms are all spacious but a little old-fashioned in terms of furnishings. They are all equipped with air conditioning, digital TV, a desk, a mini-bar, a telephone - and the bathrooms have a hairdryer. The hotel's great strength is the spacious terraces that the rooms have with great views either over Amalfi or the coastline from Praiano and Positano.
