Coming and staying in Positano means you should not have difficulties in walking, as the town is built on the steep slopes of a mountain and all the little picteresque streets are connected with steep stairs. The location of Alcione Residence really is perfect. It's a short walk to the town center where you find little shops, a church and at that main beach you sun bathe or catch a ferry to Capri, Amalfi, Sorrento and other spots. A short walk from Alcione takes you to the primary bus stop taking you to the nearby villages. There is only one road crossing Positano and the rest of the town is pedestrianized. The atmosphere is just great, with all those little steep and hilly streets, the liveliness in season, we are quite sure you will be entertained. Positano features a great central location if you like to explore the coast around you. You can rent a scooter, a car or take a tour. The following destination are within easy reach from Positano : Pompeii, Napels, Sorrento, Amalfi, the islands of Capri and Ischia and of course the Vesuvius is a must. When you are an active persons and up for a spectacular hike, have a go for the Path of the Gods. It is a stunning walk into natural beauty and the trail digs deep into the marvels of the Amalfi Coast and you can witness one of the most striking panorama’s.

Alcione Residence is a small property and offers a warm hospitality. There are not many facilities and amenities. There is a reception area and the staff is pleased to help you with any of your request regarding bookings, tours and other questions. The day starts with a great breakfast served in your room or out on your terrace. So dream away with the view and a fresh orange juice and home made cakes in the morning. For lunch and dinner, you can decide to cook yourself if you stay in the apartment, however we do recommend to check out the many trattorias and bars at the cozy center of town. If you come by car, please note there is no parking available on site. So you need to park your car somewhere else in town. WiFi internet is facilitated throughout the residence and free of charge.

Alcione Residence features 11 mediterranean style rooms and 1 apartment. All the units come with tiled floors and bright colors. The apartment is situated in a dependence 200 meters from the main building and has a small kitchen and a big shared terrace, and there is no daily cleaning. At least all units are equipped with: sat TV, air conditioner, safe, minibar, heating and baithroom with shower and hairdryer.
